Acceptance
So today was the big day. The beginning to my journey. I came home from school today. I finally got my letter in the mail that I was accepted to be an exchange student with Rotary for the 2009-2010 school year. All I could do was cry. I was shaking as I ran outside to tell Dana that I had gotten accepted. I immediately called my mom. She had been waiting all week for the phone call. She said she didn't even want to answer the phone when she saw my number. She answer and all she heard was me crying. She thought Oh man she didn't get it. But, as I was crying I finally got out that "Mom I got accepted." It was probably one of the happiest moments of my life. Even typing this is making me cry. After the horrid application process and the horrible interviews I thought to myself that I just embarrassed the crap out of myself but, I guess that I was wrong. I don't find out my country for a few more weeks. Hopefully before Christmas. But, I have a long year ahead of me to plan this crazy adventure out. I have my first outbound orientation on January 9-11th in Leesburg, Florida. I thank God for answering mine and everyone else's prayers. This is such a once in a lifetime deal. Later ;)
